Hays is currently partnering with a growing ASX-listed organisation to recruit an experienced Accounts & Payroll Officer. This is a varied role offering a mix of finance, payroll and office management responsibilities within a supportive and collaborative team environment. This position would suit someone who enjoys working across multiple functions, takes ownership of their workload and thrives in a fast-paced business experiencing continued growth.
Your new role

• End-to-end Accounts Payable processing using Xero, including invoice receipt, approvals, data entry and payment processing
• Process and administer payroll, including calculation, payment and employee payroll queries
• Prepare and lodge ATO returns as required
• Assist with Business Activity Statement (BAS) preparation and reporting
• Manage day-to-day banking requirements
• Perform bank reconciliations
• Process domestic and international supplier payments
• Liaise with external auditors and provide supporting documentation as required
• Provide general administrative support across the business

What you'll need to succeed

• Previous experience in accounts payable and payroll processing or bookkeeping
• Strong working knowledge of Xero or MYOB
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work autonomously
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
