About the Role
Join us as Analyst, Private Credit at AIA Investment Management!
As an Analyst within the Private Credit team, reporting to the Head of Private Credit, the incumbent will support the end-to-end execution and ongoing management of private credit investments. This includes conducting rigorous due diligence on new fund, co-investment and secondary opportunities, actively monitoring portfolio performance, and delivering high-quality reporting and insights to stakeholders. The majority of investments are in funds (where AIA acts as an investor or limited partner). The role will also contribute to enhancing investment and compliance processes through continuous improvement and adoption of best-in-class practices, while providing flexible support to team and stakeholder needs to ensure effective portfolio management and informed decision-making.
Responsibilities
1. Conduct detailed due diligence for new Private Credit fund, co- and secondary investments, including analysing the credit quality and risk of investments, evaluating the experience and capabilities of fund managers, conducting market research, overseeing legal, tax, and operational reviews, and securing internal approvals.
2. Monitor existing investments by reviewing periodic reports and engaging regularly with fund managers on investment progress, portfolio performance, and market outlook.
3. Prepare commentary and periodic reports, and respond to ad-hoc requests and assignments from internal stakeholders, including Asset Owners and Group Office functions.
4. Enhance investment and compliance processes by refining workflows, adopting new technology solutions, and incorporating industry-leading investment management practices.
5. Support other team members with ad-hoc requests from internal and external stakeholders.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in investment-related functions. Experience in Fixed Income, Private Credit or Private Equity fund, fund-of-funds and/or direct investments is preferred.
- University degree in finance, economics, business or related fields. CFA or CAIA charters are preferred.
- Advanced quantitative and analytical skills. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint is required. Knowledge of eFront, iLevel, Aladdin, Bloomberg and/or Python is an advantage.
- Solid oral and written communication skills are required.
- Ability to work under pressure with high accuracy and promptness.
- Strongly team orientated, dedicated and open-minded working attitude.
