Your Opportunity:

This is a newly created position designed to help shape the future of a highly acquisitive business. This isn't backfilling someone who left. The business has deliberately invested in creating this position because they see commercial finance capability as essential to future growth.

Reporting directly to an experienced Chief Commercial Officer, you'll have exposure to senior decision-making and someone who genuinely views this role as business critical. She is excellent in person and is someone that you'll genuinely enjoy working alongside.

The expectation isn't that you sit in Finance and wait for questions, but rather one where you become the person people seek out before making important commercial decisions.

What You'll Do:

You'll partner directly with multiple Managers and the Operations leadership team, helping them understand what is really driving performance, where opportunities exist, and what needs to happen to protect and grow profitability.

You'll challenge assumptions, support pricing strategies, identify margin opportunities, build meaningful reporting, and help leaders understand every line of their P&L.

• Partner, coach and influence Managers to improve financial understanding and commercial decision-making.
• Develop meaningful management reporting and dashboards that focus on actions, not simply numbers.
• Support pricing decisions through robust analysis and service profitability reviews.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and planning activities across the business.
• Identify risks early and implement profit protection initiatives before issues escalate.
• Build financial models and provide insight to support growth, investment and operational decisions.
• Contribute to month-end processes alongside the broader finance team to ensure strong financial discipline and controls.

About You:

You will be a genuine Finance Business Partner who has operated in this position previously with an ability to create strong relationships across every level of a business.

• 5+ years of accounting or finance experience.
• CA / CPA qualified (or close to completion)
• Previous business partnering experience (essential)
• Strong management reporting, forecasting and budgeting capability.
• Advanced Excel skills and a genuine curiosity for understanding how businesses make money.
• The confidence to challenge constructively while building trusted relationships.
• A proactive, ambitious mindset and the drive to build something rather than simply inherit it.
