Finance Systems Accountant - Financial Services - 12 month FTC - $130K+Super Your new company
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a technically strong accountant with a passion for finance systems, process improvement and financial reporting. This role sits at the intersection of finance and technology, offering exposure to finance transformation initiatives, systems optimisation projects and stakeholder engagement across multiple business functions. This is a 12 month fixed-term contract, working holiday visas are considered.

Your new role
Support and maintain finance systems, ensuring data integrity and reporting accuracy.Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reporting processes.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across finance systems and processes.
Partner with finance and technology teams to identify and implement system enhancements.
Support finance transformation projects, system upgrades, and process automation initiatives.
Investigate and resolve system, reporting, and data-related issues.
Develop and maintain financial reports, reconciliations, and supporting documentation.
Assist with governance, controls, and compliance requirements.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve reporting efficiencies and business performance.

What you'll need to succeed
CA/CPA qualifiedStrong understanding of IFRS 17 and its practical application within a financial environment.
Proven experience in finance systems, systems accounting, financial reporting, or finance transformation roles.
Exposure to Oracle ERP and/or Oracle EPM would be highly regarded.
Strong understanding of financial controls, reporting processes and data governance.
Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades or transformation initiatives.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to work across multiple projects and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
