INVESTMENT ANALYST - FUND MANAGEMENT
Job Description, key responsibilities:
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research on external fund managers and investment strategies across various asset classes.
- Assist in monitoring existing investments, including performance tracking, risk analysis, and regular manager communication.
- Support portfolio managers in asset allocation analysis and fund recommendations.
- Provide analytical support through portfolio analysis, as well as the enhancement and development of research tools, procedures, and practices.
- Develop investment insights and research materials, and participate in investment committee discussions by providing research-driven recommendations to support portfolio decision-making.
- Prepare portfolio reports, factsheets, and investment updates for stakeholders.
- Liaise with external managers and partners to obtain investment data and relevant market information.
- Utilize Excel and Bloomberg to update, monitor, and enhance investment and reporting tools.
- Support middle office operations and accounting system processes.
- Undertake other ad-hoc research assignments and projects as required.
Lack in experience in any of the above responsibilities can be compensated by the willingness and ability to learn the same.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree. CFA or CAIA candidates preferred.
- At least 1 year of relevant working experience in investment analysis, fund research, or portfolio-related field.
- Good knowledge in fund structures, multi-asset or fund-of-funds strategies.
- Actively involved in problem-solving, well organized, highly flexible, displays innovation in suggesting new/better ways of managing things.
- A strong team player is a must.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Good command of Microsoft Excel.
- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines.
- Willingness to take on work that may be outside the scope of normal duties.
