Description

Our client is an established and growing fund management firm based in Singapore. In line with their expansion, they are looking to bring on a Legal, Compliance and Governance Officer to support and strengthen the firm's legal, compliance and governance function.

Key Responsibilities

A. Legal

1. Manage contract lifecycle including tracking, filing, renewal and maintenance of legal documentation
2. Coordinate with external counsel on referred matters including instructions, timelines and cost
3. Review and mark up contracts, NDAs, service agreements and other legal documentation
4. Identify key legal and commercial issues and escalate where appropriate
5. Assist with legal research on applicable laws and regulatory matters

B. Compliance

1. Support and maintain the compliance framework in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements
2. Maintain and update compliance policies, procedures and manuals
3. Conduct compliance monitoring and testing and escalate issues where appropriate
4. Support the AML/CFT framework including policies, procedures and ongoing monitoring obligations

C. Company Secretarial and Governance

1. Prepare board and committee meeting materials, agendas and minutes, and coordinate scheduling and logistics of board and committee meetings

Key Requirements

1. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in legal, compliance or governance within a regulated financial services firm
2. A law degree or Master of Law from a recognised institution is preferred; candidates with a degree in a related field and equivalent experience will be considered
3. Proven ability to work independently and manage a broad remit across legal, compliance and governance functions
4. Comfortable engaging with AI tools critically and constructively as part of day-to-day work
