Description

Our client is a global Hedge Fund who is looking for a Trade Operations professional to provide middle office services, working in a fast-paced environment, communicating with portfolio managers, traders, brokers, and other interested parties, in order to confirm and settle trades on time.

Responsibilities

1. Work closely with Trading, Fund Accounting, Technology, and Risk teams with managing all trade lifecycle events for an array of asset classes including equity products, exchange traded derivatives, OTC derivatives, FX, and fixed income products.
2. Assist with trade bookings, processing life cycle events, support on P&L inquiries, and daily reconciliations.
3. Process trade allocations, affirmations, settlements, options exercise/assignments, and related tasks.
4. Monitor mandatory corporate action events and liaise with multiple PMs and PBs on voluntary elections.
5. Perform processes related to corporate actions for equity and fixed income products.
6. Advise MO/Valuations/Cash Rec teams on system level and/or PB level corporate action breaks.
7. Monitor third-party platforms like prime broker portals and administrator systems for trade management.
8. Work with the Reconciliation and Control teams to ensure the accuracy of internal books and records.
9. Identify process gaps, work with internal and external resources to create detailed requirements to solve issues.
10. Grasp big picture objectives to help senior management streamline workflows and minimize operational risk.
11. Develop and maintain strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
12. Perform adequate due diligence to resolve daily issues in a timely manner, in order to avoid any financial or reputational impact.
13. Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry best practices to further develop effective operational policies and procedures.
14. Performing other duties as may be requested by senior management.

The ideal candidate will have 2- 6 years experience working, working currently in a Hedge Fund in Hong Kong. Experience in operations with strong product experience in FI or Equity products, is essential for this role.
