An established organisation is looking for a payroll officer to join their team on a permanent, full-time basis.

Your new role
Reporting into the Payroll function, you will play a key role in delivering accurate and timely payroll services. Working alongside a small, collaborative team, your responsibilities will include:

• End-to-end processing of weekly and fortnightly payroll
• Maintaining employee payroll records, including new starters, variations, and termination
• Reviewing and reconciling time sheets and resolving discrepancies
• Processing pay adjustments, including back pay and termination calculations
• Managing statutory obligations such as superannuation, PAYG, and workers' compensation
• Supporting month-end and end-of-year payroll processes
• Acting as a key point of contact for payroll-related queries

What you'll need to succeed

• Demonstrated experience in a Payroll Officer position
• Strong understanding of payroll processes and relevant legislation
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• A proactive attitude with the ability to work both autonomously and within a team
• Exposure to award-based environments will be highly regarded.
