Payroll OfficerLocation: Sydney's Upper North Shore (next to train station)
Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2 days WFH)
Are you a Payroll Officer looking for a role where you can truly own the payroll function while working for a growing business?
Our client is a well-established and expanding property development group with a strong pipeline of luxury residential projects across Sydney. Due to continued growth, they are seeking an experienced Payroll Officer to take ownership of their payroll function while also supporting the broader finance and HR team.
This is a newly created role, offering autonomy, variety and the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership in a collaborative environment. This role will be directly reporting to the CFO and directors.
The Role
Reporting directly to the leadership team, your responsibilities will include:
- End-to-end fortnightly payroll processing for approximately 60 employees.
- Reviewing and validating employee timesheets, including manual checks where required.
- Managing employee onboarding, payroll setup and coordinating system access for new starters.
- Processing payroll tax, workers' compensation and other payroll compliance requirements.
- Supporting finance with accounts administration, payment processing, bookkeeping and claims.
- Assisting with payroll reporting and maintaining accurate employee records.
About You
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- Proven end-to-end payroll experience.
- Previous experience using Employment Hero (highly regarded)
- Ability to speak Mandarin is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
- Excellent organisational and communication skills.
- A collaborative approach and willingness to support both finance and HR functions.
