Payroll Support Officer - can be based in CBD or Parramatta Your new company
An industry-leading technology organisation is seeking a Payroll Support Officer to join their Workforce Solutions team. Supporting Payroll and HRIS customers, you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences while helping users navigate payroll and workforce management systems. This organisation is committed to innovation, continuous improvement, and empowering customers through technology. They are offering a 6-month contract with a view to go permanent and 3 days WFH - you MUST be able to start on short notice. Your new role
As a Payroll Support Officer, you will provide first-line support to Payroll and HRIS customers via phone, email, and live chat, ensuring queries are resolved accurately and within agreed service levels. You will become the trusted point of contact for customers, combining your payroll knowledge with outstanding customer service skills.
Key responsibilities include:

Providing exceptional payroll support via phone, email, and live chat.

Troubleshooting customer issues and identifying root causes.

Supporting Payroll and HRIS users with system-related queries.

Managing cases through to resolution while keeping customers updated.

Escalating complex issues to senior support teams when required.

Maintaining accurate case notes and documentation within Salesforce.

Contributing to knowledge articles, FAQs, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Building strong customer relationships through clear, professional, and empathetic communication.

Working collaboratively across teams to ensure positive customer outcomes.

What you'll need to succeed

Previous experience in a payroll customer support role.

Payroll and/or HRIS experience is highly regarded.

Strong understanding of payroll processes, with Australian and New Zealand payroll knowledge advantageous.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capabilities.

High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.

A customer-first mindset with a passion for delivering outstanding service.

Confidence learning new systems and technology quickly.
