Description

Our client, a global trading firm, is looking for an experienced Senior Compliance Officer to join their office in London, taking ownership of trade reporting and playing a key role in strengthening the compliance function.

This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to progress towards an SMF16/17 role within the next couple of years.

Your responsibilities will include:

1. Owning and overseeing trade reporting across the business
2. Supporting regulatory monitoring and market surveillance activity
3. Work with tools such as SteelEye (or similar systems)
4. Helping improve compliance processes and internal controls
5. Supporting and developing junior team members

You will need to have the following:

1. 7-10 years' compliance experience in financial services or trading
2. Strong knowledge of trade reporting requirements
3. Experience with market surveillance tools (e.g. SteelEye or equivalent)
4. Strong communicator with leadership potential
5. Futures/derivatives experience preferred
6. LME experience is a plus, not essential
