A growing advisory platform is expanding its Regulatory Compliance team in Hong Kong and is hiring a Senior Manager to join its client-facing practice. This role sits at the intersection of regulation, strategy, and business operations, supporting a broad mix of financial institutions across the region. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across investment firms, acting as a key point of contact on regulatory matters while leading complex, project-based engagements.
What you will be doing
In this role, you will take ownership of regulatory advisory work and guide clients through evolving Hong Kong requirements. The position involves hands-on delivery as well as oversight across multiple workstreams.
Typical work includes:
- Managing end-to-end regulatory engagements, from initial scoping through to execution

- Leading inspection readiness reviews, internal assessments and follow-up remediation work
- Supporting senior stakeholders during regulator interactions and enquiries
- Providing input on governance, control frameworks and internal policies across key risk areas
- Translating regulatory developments into practical, business-relevant guidance
Alongside delivery, you will play a visible role in maintaining client relationships and ensuring high-quality outcomes across engagements.
Team and platform exposure
This is a collaborative environment where you will:
- Work across a diverse client base including asset managers, hedge funds and private capital firms
- Partner with regional teams on cross-border regulatory matters
- Support and mentor junior team members on both technical and client-facing aspects
- Contribute ideas on how to improve delivery, processes and internal best practices
You will also have the opportunity to get involved in commercial discussions and support the growth of the practice over time.
Profile we are looking for
We are keen to speak with candidates who bring a strong grounding in Hong Kong regulatory compliance combined with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, advisory-led setting.
Key requirements:
- 6+ years of experience within regulatory compliance, consulting, or financial services
- Deep familiarity with SFC regulations and practical experience working with licensed entities
- Hands-on exposure to licensing processes, inspections, or regulatory-driven projects
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and engage effectively with senior stakeholders
- Strong communication style with a practical and solutions-oriented mindset
- Experience supporting or working closely with Responsible Officer frameworks is beneficial
Why this opportunity stands out
- Broader exposure across multiple firms rather than a single in-house platform
- Strong mix of technical advisory and commercial involvement
- Clear visibility to senior leadership and progression opportunities
- Opportunity to further develop client management and leadership capabilities
