Description

A global multi-manager equity hedge fund platform is hiring an Investment Risk Monitoring VP in Hong Kong. This is a data and analytics-led seat, not a day-to-day risk control or "risk policeman" role. You'll monitor investment risk limits across the platform's portfolio managers and turn data and thematic analysis into sharp, actionable insight that shapes investment strategy across the region and globally.

Reporting to the regional management, you'll work closely with regional leadership and engage frequently with the firm's North American headquarters and global function leads, bringing an integrated risk mindset and helping deploy global best practices.

What you'll do:

1. Monitor investment risk limits of the platform's portfolio managers
2. Analyse data and investment themes and articulate clear insights for senior leadership
3. Partner with US (HQ) teams and the global head of the function
4. Collaborate with the Global CIO and Research to share insights and embed best practice
5. Track markets and peers, feeding external insight back into the process
6. Contribute to the assessment of prospective portfolio managers

What we're looking for:

1. ~3-5+ years in investment monitoring, investment risk, or investment analytics
2. Understanding of a platform / multi-manager hedge fund model and long-short strategy
3. Fund-of-funds or family-office investment-monitoring backgrounds also welcome (long-only unlikely to fit)
4. A genuine ability to turn raw data into decision-useful insight
5. Exposure to FATCA and related regulatory frameworks is a must
6. Strong cross-regional communication; comfort with best-in-class AI tools
7. English essential; a regional language is a plus
